At FirstService Residential, I crafted an email to all associates to invite them to join any of our new committees I had formed: wellness committee, social purpose committee, on-site engagement committee and culture & events committee. I sent an invitation to join our committees via email to 1,400 associates across California, and after just one week, I had 87 sign-ups with 27 associates interested in serving as a committee co-chair.
UCI Beall Applied Innovation hosts an annual Startup Scrimmage event series that provides guests with the opportunity to listen to halftime pitches from local startups and networking with entrepreneurs while watching football on our 110 ft Hiperwall screen. I created and executed the communications strategy to drive event attendance.
UCI Beall Applied Innovation & the SBDC @ UCI Beall Applied Innovation host a Lunch & Learn series at the Cove where subject matter experts present on a particular topic within or relevant to innovation and entrepreneurship. Topics range in breadth from branding and marketing to avoidable pitching mistakes to working with investors. These events are free and open to the public.
UCI Beall Applied Innovation offers micro-grants to UCI students and alumni to help them develop their innovative ideas. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis.
